Some people are afraid of color, but color can actually create comfortable rooms while creating a statement.
Let's dive into the details on this one.
This Family Room started with the Navy Blue Velvet U-shaped sectional. This one was purchased from Restoration Hardware. This is a option for a different price point.
Not all rooms can fit something like this, but when it can it sure makes laying watching your favorite shows very enjoyable.
The original rug in this room was a navy, ivory hide rug. Click below
Here is an alternative option, that still blends with that hide feel.
The pillows shown in picture are from William Sonoma, but found these options as well.
Anchoring a room with statement lighting transforms a room immediately. I always call the lighting in homes the jewelry to the design. While the lighting is this room is no longer available, I found this option to give it a fun feel for the space.
The coffee table for this room was purchased through One Kings Lane.
Here is an option for the space.
Styling a coffee table you want to make it look great but also be functional. I like to add decorative boxes to the table to hide remotes, candle lighters or anything you like to have close but might be eye sore.
Coffee table books for me, I like to make sure the covers match the room and I also like book titles to have meaning. There will be a future posts on my views with that.
These are the books that were selected for this design. Rule of thumb stack in threes.
I love having plants and fresh flowers in every room so the pop of pink is always a must. Adding these white vases add a simple texture piece to the table. One use for flowers the other you can place on top of the books.
Always keep your table clean by adding stylish coasters. These are beautiful and add functionality to your space. Coasters direct guests on where to place their drinks. The last thing you want is someone places a drink on one of your beautiful books.

Always make sure that the candles you select match (No pun intended) your design. The worst thing you can do is place an odd color candle on your beautiful curated table.
Top it off with a set of cozy blankets. Keeping them folded on your sofa, makes it easy to grab for those cooler days.
Whether you choose to use the originals or the options you will create a special place to gather and relax.
