Just like jewelry completes an outfit, lighting completes a space. Each fixture adds sparkle, warmth, and personality — transforming rooms with the perfect balance of function and beauty. Discover how thoughtful lighting elevates every design detail.

Here are some things to think about about.

Layer Your Lighting

Combine ambient, task, and accent lighting to create balance and depth. Each layer plays a role — from setting the mood to highlighting your favorite details.

Match the Mood to the Room

Use warmer tones in bedrooms and living areas for a cozy, inviting feel.Choose cooler whites in kitchens and bathrooms for clarity and focus.

Scale Matters

Make sure the fixture fits the space — oversized pieces can overwhelm, while undersized ones lose impact.

Style with Intention

Your lighting should complement your overall design style. Think of fixtures as the jewelry of your home — subtle yet defining. Make sure that when you have common areas where you can see multiple fixtures make sure they compliment each other.

Here is a project where the dining room, bar and wine cellar where all in an open space.

John Richard Brass and Glass Teardrop Nine-Light Chandelier

This elegant John Richard Chandelier, I have to admit I have used it a few times in design. It truly is stunning for a dining room. It comes in many sizes and is a focal point for the room.

Below we used three of these drop lights for the bar area that was just off the dining room. Still a subtle statement that compliments the dining room.

The wine cellar is in the common area as well so we carried out the gold and glass concept. Still keeping it simple but with a twist of character.

Just remember lighting plays an important role in design not only does it fills space in rooms it is there to create ambiance, design, and tops off the detail for every room.

Last but not least,

don’t forget dimmers

They give you control and create versatility for every moment.
